When I’m not helping clients find their dream home as an Aspen Realtor and Snowmass Village real estate advisor, I’m usually chasing a little white ball across the mountains. Golf has always been one of my favorite ways to connect with friends and enjoy Colorado’s landscape — and this fall, a quick two-day golf trip turned into one of my favorite getaways of the season.
Over 48 hours, we played three of Western Colorado’s best golf courses, enjoyed incredible food, and made memories that reminded me why so many people fall in love with the Colorado mountain lifestyle — the same lifestyle that draws buyers to Aspen and Snowmass luxury real estate every year.
Day One: Devil’s Thumb & The Bridges — Golf Meets Mountain Majesty
We kicked things off at Devil’s Thumb Golf Club in Delta, a stunning course that perfectly blends desert and mountain terrain. The wide-open fairways and dramatic peaks make every hole a postcard moment. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why living in Colorado mountain homes feels so special.
From there, we headed to The Bridges in Montrose, a Nicklaus Design course known for its creative layout and panoramic San Juan Mountain views. We stayed the night in their cozy on-site cabins and capped off the evening with a hearty prime rib dinner at Stonehouse — a must-try for anyone passing through Montrose.
Day Two: Redlands Mesa & Grand Junction — A Perfect Finale
The next morning, we made our way to Grand Junction, stopping for dinner at Bin 707 — home of the award-winning burger — before ending the night at Moody’s Lounge with a well-deserved cocktail.
The grand finale came at Redlands Mesa, one of Colorado’s most celebrated public courses. Known for its dramatic elevation changes, red rock formations, and challenging yet scenic design, it’s a golfer’s paradise. Every swing here comes with a view that rivals even the most beautiful Aspen golf course homes.
Why This Trip Was Special
In just two days, we packed in three incredible golf experiences, memorable meals, and plenty of laughs. What made it truly special was the simplicity — a bite-sized adventure filled with great friends and the kind of natural beauty that makes Colorado mountain living so unforgettable.
Whether I’m on the golf course or helping clients navigate the Aspen real estate market, it’s moments like these that remind me why I love calling the Roaring Fork Valley home.
